Sky Q Mini Box

I upgraded to SKY Q couple of weeks ago and I have noticed that my mini box lags and screen cover images of programs and apps loads after after several seconds when swiping through menus. My main q box works just fine and is quite fast and connection good. 

Is this a fault with the mini box?

Have you tried rebooting the main box and then the mini box at the wall (off for 30 secs each)?

Also, the mini gets its signal from the main box, so it can be affected by how far away the mini is from the main box.

Yes I rebooted both boxes. The mini box is upstairs and main box downstairs connected by WiFi.

Does anyone else experience lag on their sky q mini or is this how they perform due to the hardware capabilities?
