Sky Q Cinema
Why does the Cinema pack cost more through Sky than Now? Is it the On Demand availability is greater via Q?
Now TV monthly rolling is £9
SKY Q is £11 if ordered via the mobile app or £12 if ordered via Q box on a fixed 18 month contract.
I did see Q rolling at £22 but must admit I can't find this offer now.

Re: Sky Q Cinema
@Anonymous
Sky Cinema via Q and Glass offers UHD, HDR and Atmos.
Sky Cinema via NOW is limited to HD and Dolby 5.1 audio using the Boost subscription.

Re: Sky Q Cinema
True but you have to pay extra to Sky for the enhanced experience so even more cost.
The costs in my initial post are HD viewing not UHD HDR.

Re: Sky Q Cinema
If you want to compare like with like:-
£12 a month on Q gets you movies in 1080i and Dolby 5.1 audio.
To get selected (not all) movies in 1080p and 5.1 audio on Now requires the Boost pack, so it's £9 + £5 = £14 a month.
Sky Cinema on Q will also include Paramount+ (when it launches this Summer), which won't be part of NowTV Cinema bundles.

Re: Sky Q Cinema
Thanks for that information. I also read a Q cinema subscription also gives 20% off any Sky Store transactions.
I was aware of Paramount+ being built into the Cinema subscription but I am also curious to find out what the standalone subscription for Paramount might be, if around £7 as suggested then Q Cinema via the mobile app at £11 sounds reasonable.
Will ponder a tad longer and make a decision 🤔

@Anonymous also bear in mind that many subscribers, when negotiating a new overall TV package, have been able to get good discounts on Cinema with £6-8 being mentioned.

Re: Sky Q Cinema
Hi
I have just returned to Sky after almost a year and have got Sky Cinema for £7 and full Sports for £4 after discounts applied. That's also taking Ultimate TV, HD and UHD packs.
Total TV bill is £40 not including broadband.
Sky Q 2Tb HDR
Mini Box
Sky Full Fibre 300

Re: Sky Q Cinema
@Anonymous
Have a good look at what's available on Sky Cinema before committing to a long term contract. IMHO it's not worth more than £6pm - that's what I paid during my last 18 month term before cancelling it. During that time I only watched 2 movies. So that's effectively £58 per movie.
If you're not bothered about UHD then I'd say NOW is a much better option. Do a free trial then cancel. You inevitably get offered a deal of Cinema at £2-5pm for 2 months or something like that, which is a much fairer price for what's on offer.
I personally don't think the arrival of Paramount+ is going to cause much of a stir. All the movies it's launching with have been available before.
