Re: Sky HDR

@MATT-LOUGH

"What are peoples experiences like with regard to handing over old hdmi & mains cables. Does the courier insist on them?"

Not sure the courier actually cares or even Sky come to that for something that's worth 50p!

All I did rather than messing about unplugging the ones I was using, I just left the new ones in the box and returned those instead.

Re: Sky HDR

We had been given a date but no time slot so we got woken by courier at 08:30.

Mad rush to extract old box but all leads difficult to remove from Samsung One

Connect so left them in place and courier was OK to just take box.

Now setup uses old leads and new remote, works fine. I've kept old remote

and new leads in case Sky ask for them.

Re: Sky HDR

When I go to my account on my sky q box. I'm only getting the option to upgrade for £99 for either 1tb or 2tb. Is anyone else getting this? I thought it was £50.  Thanks

Re: Sky HDR

Those of you who have had a box swap, did the new box come with a Bluetooth remote?

I swapped over yesterday and as per instructions handed over box and remote (Bluetooth touch). Replacement box (v3) only came with a non Bluetooth remote! Is this standard/normal practice?

At the risk of sounding condesending, are you aware that Sky don't do remotes with the touch pad anymore.

If it has a blue voice control button in the middle, that's the latest bluetooth remote.

Re: Sky HDR

Not at all! Wasn't aware. It's actually only a backup remote as I use a Logitech Elite.

Reason for asking is that it only seems to work with line of sight not Bluetooth?

you can only have 1 remote paired via bluetooth at a time i'm afraid.

Re: Sky HDR

What a difference  my new sky q box over my original  v1 box, watching the liverpool game in uhd and the quality  is so much better, my old one  looked like it was HD when saying uhd, I wonder if the boxes degrade over time

You should follow the instructions in your email. I wouldn't disconnect any cables other than to remove your box, and I don't believe the remote controls have to go back. It won't cripple the business of you keep them.

Re: Sky HDR

I'm in ireland so had to sent the box back myself after getting the new one, haven't yet. Been 2 months and I doubt they will ask for it.
