Re: Sky HDR
The Sky website offering the HDR upgrade offered the latest box not one
a year or more old and with a power block attached.
My set up can fit the V1 box and the V3 box but not the V2.
There is no position to fit the power block so it will be unacceptable.

Re: Sky HDR
I get why you would have Sky protect for tv/laptop/phone etc but not for Sky equipment which you don't own. If it's faulty Sky repair/replace free of charge. So 6 months of unnecessary insurance costs more than the hdr upgrade.
unless of course, I'm missing something

Re: Sky HDR
Upgrade to the latest what for £50.00 still doesn't say you will get the V3 seeing as three boxes now do HDR
Via the lastest update to the Sky Q box's
So if the lastest V3 box came with a power brick would you refuse that one also @Garry+Redknap

Re: Sky HDR
My email came Wednesday evening, Text from Sky on Sun evening and box delivered yesterday morning
It is a V3 (No power brick or silver trim)
Was hoping youtube would be HDR and not just 4k.
Does the new iplay App on Sky show the HDR demo still ? My (TV Samsung KS) doesn't

Re: Sky HDR
Currently, only Sky's own programming and Disney+ have any HDR capability on Sky.

You are missing something. If the Q box suffers accidental damage you have to pay an upfront charge to get the box replaced as this isn't covered. With Sky Protect this charge is covered plus you usually get the box replaced within 48 hours of logging a fault with D&G.

Re: Sky HDR
Hi did your new box come via a courier ? If yes - which one & did they take your old box back with them ? Or could you have sent it back at a later date ?

Re: Sky HDR
@jennykins1963 DPD are doing the deliveries in the U.K. You should get a time slot and order tracking number and you have to return the old box at the time the new one is delivered, putting it in the packaging the new one arrived in.

Re: Sky HDR
@Val+Dawson I for certain would be happy with a V2 as I ain't too fussed about the power brick HDR is HDR regardless of external or internal power unit.
Gives encouragement to the rest of us that YouTube and Netflix via Sky Q ain't in HDR bring on the Lemurs🤣🤣😱

Re: Sky HDR
Lemurs and 50Hz jerky horror show Disney+ is your lot as far as HDR is concerned.
If you haven't noticed the jankiness of Disney+ out of the sky box yet, erm, let's just pretend I didn't say anything.
And there are a couple of other shows as per lists posted in this thread in the recent past, but we have a long way to go.
