Re: Sky HDR

@JOHNGALLEY  SkyQ PVRs (indeed any modern PVR) should not be treated as an archive device. The reason is simple - if the box dies (and they all will at some point) then your archived recordings will die with it. Therefore the size of disk storage is an irrelevance. Record, watch, delete. The upgrade is the ability to watch programmes in HDR. I'm increasingly unclear why you have Sky as you never appear to have a good word to say about it.

Re: Sky HDR

@Piesarus  I disagree with this I worked 8months abroad as a soldier and recorded all the Huddersfield football games to watch when I got back as I couldn't watch overseas 1tb would not have been enough

There was nothing anti-Sky in my post .. just as others wrote i was questioning his assumption he was getting a upgrade on 2 counts .. 1 As far as i am aware as of now there is no upgrade offered to swap out a box V1 and swap /upgrade to a V2/3 .. and also going from a 2tb to a 1tb all beit newer a upgrade .

As for my being Anti-Sky not really .. jusr regarding HDR .. if they did not have Football  i would leave.. but that does not make me anti .

@da1e7150, not sure what you mean. My point is a £30 firestick outperforms a mini any day of the week. 4 years  after launch and minis can only deliver SD and HD.

The UHD Firestick is £49.99 at the moment. The £39.99 one is SD and HD only...

The cube is £110 a big hike in price.
