Re: Sky HDR

@purpleparrotuk   Does toggling the inputs from the one you are on to another and then back again solve the issue?- this the issue I'm having with my Samsung and this sorts.

Re: Sky HDR

Sorry, shouldn't have said that.

I appreciate why you guys are upset. Sky should have seen this coming (and probably did). Couldn't have happened at a worst time with covid.

@Barry+Mc+Kelvey there is no cost as there is no upgrade process at the moment.

Re: Sky HDR

The technology didnt exist when the first sky q boxes came out this has been explained countless times already today. I will use the same analogy as earlier. Would you ring apple and complain that your iPhone 5 doesn't have wireless charging yet the iPhone X does.....No because the technology wasn't available same as the sky boxes. Would you ring up and complain your CRT Sony TV doesn't have 4k hdr....no because it's older technology just wait it out and see what happens it's been released a day

@Kei+M

but waiting out for what..that is the point for us V1 owners....sky have not made it clear what we would be waiting for , and that is were the communication breaks down. this should have been planned out better to include us V1 owners not alienate us, and if you say something you get told to stop moaning.

Re: Sky HDR

Mine is a Sky Q 2 TB silver box you will need to check your hardware number to see if it is compatible if not complain its the only way sky will know we are not accepting such a rubbish service

Re: Sky HDR

Hi @Chrisee

So for arguments sake. If I phone up Sky and say my Sky Q Box isn't compatible, they'll arrange for an engineer visit and replace the current Sky Q Silver Box for free?

Thanks in Advance

Re: Sky HDR

@gems+151

Your analogy doesn't apply unfortunately because the sky box is RENTED not purchased. They've made a conscious decision to leave early adopters (by nature those that support innovation and want the latest in their home) out of the equation and confirm there's no roadmap in place to do anything about it. And that's why people are venting their frustration and quite rightly too.

Re: Sky HDR

Loaned, rented. All the same. It means we didn't buy it and take the risk it would be made obsolete from future plans.

Re: Sky HDR

@garybarnes  yes it does sky havent said they won't replace your box it they did then I see your anger they have said an upgrade policy is been put in place do you want my box I'll swap with you it's really not that big a deal. Anyone near Leeds who's crying swap your box for my v3 box I won't watch the documentaries anyway
