Re: Sky HDR

HDR video is currently available via the likes of Amazon Prime VideoApple TV, BT Sport, Netflix and Virgin TV, and indeed in some other Sky territories in Europe, which makes the UK HDR omission all the more galling yes the UK gets rubbish service from sky yet again what do sky have to say i notice the sky employee left this conversion very quickly

They won't get that long with me if I'm paying for a premium service I don't care who feels offened or not we are entitled to air our views & complaints with Sky Q why should only New Customers get the best of everything when loyal customers get crap from sky

Everybody is entitled to an opinion and I hate it when others try and stop a conversation... but... your public anger isn't going to change anything.

@Anonymous , don't upgrade your tv based on a couple of old documentaries from Sky. HLG has been around for 5 years. They may get something working by the Olympic by then Amazon will be a UK broadcaster ..,, fingers crossed

Amazon will be a UK broadcaster of what?

Re: Sky HDR

Is quite entertaining seeing those with V2/V3 boxes belittling the opinions of people who do not. Sky themselves have caused the equality and have decided to launch at a time when they can't provide a decent level of customer service. Maybe they should have delayed things until such a time that they can properly engage.

Re: Sky HDR

@Piesarus  Sky knew prior to March that V1 boxes would not be able to be updated for HDR.. most people with the V1 boxes are those who had them for the longest period of time meaning Early Adopters .. without those early adopters Sky Q would never have got of the ground.. as for the Pandemic i am a full time carer for my 96 yr old Father.

But it would be nice if Sky would now change my V1 box for a HDR compliant one .. but that's not going to happen is it.

Re: Sky HDR

Thanks for the reply guys. It will probably be about a year before I upgrade the CX802 but it's good to know my V2 box will work with HLG.

I know my box is V2 as I got it replaced because my V1 box had the flickering issue reported a couple of years ago.

Re: Sky HDR

chris44,

Listen mate, it's 20 hours of nature programmes. Lemurs. monkeys and rhinos. I bet you wouldn't even watch it if it was available to you would you? Are you really that desperate to watch some bloody wildlife? Get a grip. I appreciate you want the service but give it time, it's not the end of the world.

Re: Sky HDR

yes of course with a pandemic on our hands being the most important issue,  this discussion is in reality just that, a discussion with an opportunity to air our thoughts. Pricipally I have no issue as to when the incompatble boxes are replaced, as long as in the near future they are and this should of been made clear from launch.

Re: Sky HDR

@garybarnes you didn't sign up for a contract stating you are entitled or expected to receive HDR therefore no contract has been broken

Re: Sky HDR

I don't care how long it is I am as a sky customer entitled to it seeing as I pay for it same as all customers who are getting the new HDR content

Hi

if you don't have a V2/V3 Sky Q Box, what's the cost to upgrade to a new Sky Silver Box?

Thanks in Advance
