Re: Sky HDR

@chris44, well put post. They have your money and your  left behind. I will remember this episode like the ability to cancel packages is made difficult by disabling the on line links... The v1?boxes are no longer fit for purpose

Re: Sky HDR

It's 20 hours of nature programmes. Not worth getting your knickers in a twist tbh lol.

Re: Sky HDR

Exactly there boxes now are outdated & being as it is only rented to us we should get an updated box as they do have them but keeping them for new customers only or how did someone who phoned up & got a new compatible box ? If they don't have them

Re: Sky HDR

Some of the posts in this thread are off the scale. We are in the middle of a pandemic, Sky are trying to operate with a much reduced staff and all I read is a lot of people stamping their feet shouting 'I want'. It's a marginally improved picture on what you have now, it's not even Dolby Vision for goodness sake.

Re: Sky HDR

Its the principal of paying for a high quality service, moving to its next upgrade and leaving out a section of its customers with now old boxes effectively. The programming is irrelevant to the service, technically I no longer have a box that allows me to access HDR.

Re: Sky HDR

@chris44 , my gripe is they know this, go ahead with a launch and basically ignore you, perhaps they may change in 12 months time and then I will look to the other carriers.

Re: Sky HDR

@Amo1 , you are spot on with your points

Re: Sky HDR

@rscott  Would you like to put money on that.. Sky will in time be launching a HDR package .. that is when V1 boxes will be replaced if the customer wishes.

It's all about the money .. if you think otherwise you are in cloud cuckoo land.

Re: Sky HDR

I have a V2 box is this HLG comparable?

I have a cx802 Panasonic which only supports HDR10.  I will be upgrading my TV in the near future.

Do the newer model boxes have faster performance?

Re: Sky HDR

They won't get that long with me if I'm paying for a premium service I don't care who feels offened or not we are entitled to air our views & complaints with Sky Q why should only New Customers get the best of everything when loyal customers get crap from sky

Re: Sky HDR

Yes, basically it's ignoring those of us who embraced the SkyQ technology early on, that doesn't seem fair.....and sorry if that's seen as stamping my feet

Re: Sky HDR

@Anonymous , don't upgrade your tv based on a couple of old documentaries from Sky. HLG has been around for 5 years. They may get something working by the Olympic by then Amazon will be a UK broadcaster ..,, fingers crossed

Re: Sky HDR

@chris44  did you sign up for hdr....no are you getting the service you bought and contractually signed up to...yes. There's a pandemic people have real issues ie no picture.
