Maybe after the pandemic they will invest in cloud telephony so their agents can work from home and we get a decent service?
Telephony is the easy bit. It's secure access to customer's data which isn't. Either needs locked down devices (with decent anti-malware on them), which is a little difficult gven that the NHS in particular have been buying huge numbers of laptops (and rightly being given priority by suppliers) to enable their staff to work remotely.
Or it needs a Citrix/RemoteApp type solution, which can create issues with cloud telephony.
(Don't work for Sky, but have been involved in rollouts of remote working for my current employer - that's been challenging and we're not as large as them).

I have UHD so why is there a difference in the hardware?
Different models got different silicon depending on what was available on the international component market at a particular price point when they were specified (and then built, which is usually sometime later). It's quite possible even now for a graphics chipset to be rated for UHD but not HDR in its various flavours.

Re: Sky HDR
No, don't select HDR+. That's to fake HDR on standard programming. Your Samsung will kick in with max baclight when it detects HDR!

Re: Sky HDR
Being cynical I do wonder if the limited release of HDR titles is that Sky have picked a few that have good UHD and show HDR at its best, whether when many more become available I wonder if they will be as good.
After all the claimed HDR titles are very variable in quality.

Re: Sky HDR
@Val+Dawson Thank you - that explains it definately then. It's because there's something wrong with routing via my Receiver.

Re: Upgrade old Sky Q 2TB to new version for HDR
Perhaps a separate thread is worthwhile, as pertinent posts get lost in technical stuff. Here's my experience:-
I got through to CS and spoke to an agent (who was working from home). I gave him the link for checking the versions and he agreed I needed a box swap. He put me through to the technical team for a swap.
Went through all my details, agreed my box isn't compatible for HLG. He then asked if I had any problems with my current box. I honestly said, no. He then told me they couldn't do it and I'd have to wait weeks or months.
I'm in cooling off period for Signature, so thinking I'll cancel and try again.

Re: Sky HDR
Where are all these HDR programs if we can't find them by voice search?

Re: Sky HDR
This does absolutely nothing perhaps you need an Apple thing connected.
"*Not sure if you've got a Sky Q 1TB UHD or Sky Q 2TB box? Check the Music section to confirm your box type:
- Press Home on your Sky Q remote
- Scroll to Music then select Your music
- Select Play your music using Airplay. You’ll see your box type listed (e.g. Sky Q 2TB Box2725)"
However the box type is shown under info in settings.

Re: Sky HDR
My box and TV are compatible but I'm still getting the old Sky Q box firmware (vQ112). Tried updating and still stuck on old firmware. Do I just need to sit it out and wait for the update?
