I have a sky box with a wire connecting it to a tv upstairs. I cannot watch any channels upstairs as the remote will not change any channels. I would have to put the tv on downstairs and go upstairs to watch it. I then have to come back downstairs again. Any ideas please?

I've had this problem with my Sky Q box for quite some time. It's the only device in the home that constantly gives me issues so it's almost definitely not the router. I've had two different broadband providers in the last couple of years and the SKY box problem is ongoing.

You've posted in the Sky+ forum.
If you post in the Sky Q forum someone may be able to offer some help.

What worked for me
Go to 'Settings'
Under 'Preferences"..... change Standby mode to 'Active'. It's on 'Eco' by default I think.
Hope that helps.

Ok I will give that a go. I had already turned it onto none but I will try the active option and see.
Thankyou

if you have sky mini boxes, turn 2.4Gherts off in the settings menu (001). then unplug the mini box and plug it back (need to do this for the 2.4 to stay off)
You will probably need to re-link you mini boxes.
this worked for me

This forum is for Sky+ users, so no Mini boxes.

I am glad it is happening to someone else as well. The Sky has disconnected from the Internet for the last few day's have done everything, unplugged Sky, reset router but nothing working, also have a booster box for Sky which is supposed to help, but doing nothing. So far just today Sky has disconnected from the Internet 3 times it is becoming a real problem
