Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

This is the reply I got from sky:

"We do try and keep up with all the latest threads on community when we have spare time in-between chats but unfortunately lately due to volumes we have been prioritising escalated posts and have had no time to browse the community posts, if you'd be kind enough to provide us with a link to a related thread we will be more than happy to send invites to private chat to users with the same issue, If we initiate a chat with the customers and and the customer responds, then we find its the exact same issue as you, getting more examples would certainly help us resolve this quicker. 👍"

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

This is a message for Sky:

It has been a few weeks now since I went through a long drawn out chat over days/weeks and the problem still continues with more and more people submitting messages that they are experiencing this problem as well.

In the last chat, I was advised that it has gone to the technical folk who will investigate and send out  an update via the Appsstore and for me to look out for it.  This hasn't happened,  can this please be esculated now .

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

As soon as I launch Sky Go, it loads to blue screen and logo then closes straight away. Have uninstalled and reinstalled but no different

I have been trying for some time to access my Sky go app on my kindle fire. I see it is not just me now so if you could fix this problem, I would really appreciate it. It is not the same trying to watch on my phonr

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

Chased Sky today after reporting this problem last week.

The official response is they are aware of the problem and will fix it in a future app update.

No apology, no timescale for fixing the problem. Just expect us to carry on paying for a part of the service that they are not supplying.

They even told me I wasn't paying for this service because it came free with Multiroom. No, it is an advertised part of the mu!tiroom package that I am paying for.

Then stated that they were supplying Sky Go, just not to the device that I own and owned when they sold me the service.

Absolutely shameful.

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

The app has previously worked without issue but for the last few weeks it loads the blue Sky Go screen but nothing else? I've logged in on my phone and it works without issue. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app but get the same issue each time? Anyone know how I can get it on? I use it to watch films during my hospital stays and it isn't that easy on my phone

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

@kellyjenkinson1 lots of people are having the same issue with SkyGo on various Android devices but the Sky Apps team seem to be unable to provide a fix and have simply stated that more people need to report the problem so that they can get more examples of the problem.

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

How do I report it? Is there an online way to do it? Or do I have to ring them

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

I was contacted by Sky via the community so hopefully one of their people picks up this thread and contacts you directly for a virtual "chat". There doesn't seem to be a number to call to report this issue.

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

I also have the problem with fire tablet. My dad  wanted to watch it while in hospital. So disappointed that Sky have not sorted this out during testing across the various devices already.

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

I agree it's a very poor response when so many people are having the issue. It's not a good service for customers

Re: Sky Go won't open on Amazon Fire 7 tablet

Did you send this link? Did they even bother to open a private chat with you? It appears many are having this issue and they're doing nothing about it as it's been months now with no resolution. The response to all appears to be we're aware but don't actually act
