Puck wi-fi connection issue

Literally at end of my tether with the puck in bedroom. Glass downstairs has been great but every night the wi-fi connection fails, go through whole reset process, sometimes it works but then just loses connection again. Have carried out every trouble shooting guide, our internet speed is 79, never had this problem with Q box - help!!!

Re: Puck wi-fi connection issue

Q boxes acted as a mesh network, so repeating the connection to the nearest device.

Maybe you could do with a booster or new router?

Re: Puck wi-fi connection issue

They are not fit for purpose. My puck needs reconnecting to my internet pretty much every day. Constant issues with it.

Re: Puck wi-fi connection issue

When you first go to use it, the handshake for Internet connection seems to be the last thing initiated, even with standby WiFi enabled.

I just give it 10 or 30 seconds and press home. Usually first time it works fine.

@bradleyestn  Sky aren't going to get back to you on this forums it's just customer to customer. If you have an issue that bad with the puck you would need to speak directly to sky.

Re: Puck wi-fi connection issue

The sky puck is a piece of junk for connectivity. I have 70mbps in my bedroom but every night I turn on the puck and it says " no WiFi connection". Utter waste of time having it, don't buy

Re: Puck wi-fi connection issue

Just means the handshake to the WiFi or the sky servers hasn't finished yet.

They are no doubt aware of the issues for Glass and pucks and still working on them for a new update.

Re: Puck wi-fi connection issue

I spoke to Sky and discovered my Sky router was quite old - they sent me a new one plus a booster - this has fixed the problem! My speed was fine but the strength was poor - I put the booster on my upstairs landing and it has been perfect since.
