First question would be,
Before you activate, what capabilities does the TV have before sky activation, so being a non Sky dumb TV.
What apps are available, if any?

How does the use of the aerial and freeview channels work and display like?

Re: Sky Glass Delivered

I have BT TV at the moment and when I change streaming channels, the HD is there instantly. I do have 500Mbps but still there's no delay or anything at all.

Two questions I would appreciate feedback on are -

The delay compared to Sky Q. Could make having a little flutter on games frustrating. Know this might be hard to answer as Q closes down when you activate

and.

The speed of moving between live channels and how long these take to kick in to HD. Again appreciate this might be down to BB speed but these are two niggles I have moving from Sat based delivery.

Thanks in advance! Enjoy!

Some live programmes always start on time, like the BBC News and any football match. So check the actual time when the whistle blows (the clock on the bottom of the Mini Guide banner and the top of the Home screen doesn't show seconds so for accuracy, check the system clock on your laptop or phone…or maybe the Glass TV has a time server in date & time settings). Do it on Q and then do it again on Glass. Post results.

Isn't Freeview accessed through an App? I don't think anything is accessible without initial activation.

That's one of the big unknowns, so would be good if an early adopter could confirm.

Mine's here.  I told them not to bother unpacking it, I'd do it myself.   Haven't unpacked it yet.

Ha, of course it is.

I hate reinstalling Windows from scratch as I know it's going to be hours before it's set up correctly.

Re: Sky Glass Delivered

@lettice I think - the 1st thing that I will do (which is counter-intuative I know) is plug Sky Q straight in!  I want to know what the 'expereince' is like if I couldn't cope with the Glass streaming service and went back to Q.  I am hoping that I won't need to go back - as I want to get rid of my old surround sound system, box and TV cabinet!
