Sky Glass: A Work in Progress.

Sorry to hear so many people feel dissatisfied with this product. I'm not in that camp. I have seen the future and, most of the time, it works.

But of course I have gripes. Hope someone's monitoring this:

* Bass Boost. It's a gentle uplift, but I like it. Problem is I have to turn it on every time I turn the TV back on. Surely a simple software fix.

* There are still some channels missing, notably Talking Pictures. To get the Freeview TV to work, I have to sign out and then have to re-enter my wifi password to get back in, and meantime, I have precious little functionality. I would like the TV input more integrated into the UI, like the HDMI ports.

* The UI is generally a confusing mush of this, that and the other over here. There is no eay way to get to where you want, and the voice control has very little use for settings, which I am still adjusting.

* The top speakers are there and they work, but you have to put your ear on the metal to hear them. Some balance adjustment would be nice.

* Looking forward to more apps: My5. BT Sport. UKTV Play.

All that said, sound and picture are superb. Image quality on Freeview channels is much improved comparted to OTA, and even the "SD" channels look like they are in fact 720P.

Well done Sky. Keep up the improving good work.

Re: Sky Glass: A Work in Progress.

....spoke too soon. Glitches are abounding:

Likes to reboot at random moments.

Problems with HDMI and DHCP, won't accept anything witjout a reboot.

EPG is sometimes wrong. Last night's football was billed as "Sky Sports News," so I'd be none the wiser if I didn't know it was on from the website.
