Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

I do think the lack of a £10 offer for F1 is missing a trick, as surely getting lots of subscribers at £10 per month is better than a much smaller number at £18.

There was another £15 for all Sports channels deal last year which I could be tempted by, but I suppose that offer is also not likely to be coming back either.

After watching the first couple of races on channel 4, it's generally good enough. The main frustration is having to wait hours after the race, and in that time avoiding the news or social media. I'm happy to stick with it unless Sky decide they want to put a decent offer out there.

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

Having watched the first two races on channel 4 for free, I can no longer see myself going back to sky regardless of whether it is £10 or not.

The coverage on C4 is long enough, a good build up and without the presenters repeating themselves endlessly.  Its a bonus not to have to listen to crofty tbh.

None of my mates have sky f1 anymore and so avoiding the result is easy.

Well, as the person who got the £3 offer,  nobody at Sky have told me about this "error on my account".

So, I now know what the error on my account is.

Talking to Sky Customer services this morning, the 18 months discount has only been applied for 1 month and 18 days, and not 18 months. So, a warning to anyone who took this £3 offer, check your future bills. Mine is showing the subscription reverting to £18 in May. Sky are sorting my account out to extend the offer to the full 18 months. Good job I spotted Sky's error.

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

@tarbat Thanks for the info mate. Can you let us know if the definitely extend the offer for 18 months.

From my side, they've given me F1 for £10 a month for 18 months

So far they're refusing to do anything. They say it's a system error.  There is no £10 offer available for me, despite 22 years VIP.  They  just told me to wait until the deal ends in May and see what deals are available then.

Needless to say, I've escalated to a manager, and awaiting a call back. Just wonder where I stand legally?  I signed up for an 18 month contract at £3 per month.

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

An update. Sky have sorted this out and more, and I'm now effectively paying £2 per month for F1 😉

The manager gave me the £10 per month VIP offer (£8 discount), and then because I agreed to re-contract, gave me another £8 per month discount on Sky Signature, on top of the existing in-contract £7 discount I already had until October 2021.

This does prove that there is a £10 per month offer for F1 available.

So for me, £52.50 for Signature, Multiscreen, Ultimate TV, UHD+HD, & F1 HD.

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

@tarbat that good! It's looking very similar to mine actually, just a couple of quid here and there that's different, but not much.

Have you, or anyone, had a recent decent quote for broadband, mine was £22, now they're saying £33, then discounted to £28, then to 26 (??) But still £4 more than I was paying

I changed to TT for my fibre as couldn't get a good price from Sky.
Pay £26.50 for unlimited fast fibre, and all inclusive call inc mobiles, also got £110 cashback through Quidco.

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

Hi all,

Interesting thread. Given what has gone on since I started it I thought I should share what I ended up with from the lady in 'Customer Priority' after i complained about the call centre reaction.

What is very clear is that even at that level they are at the mercy of manipulating what the system will let them do that day. I was paying £33 post increase and now £38 so £5 a month rolling for the F1. In an email the lady told me a £4 discount I carried over from Q with Multiroom will expire after the full 18 months and of course any annual increases would apply.

My account is still a  mess so waiting on a 'back room' fix in case I want to add other sports at any time!

regards to all,

Bill

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

I dropped in to see if there's been any updates, but it looks lik it's a no.

On the plus side, I'd be really upset if I'd decided to pay for Sky F1 and then the races started dropping off.

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

I know. Imagine signing up to 18 months and F1 not having as many races as you hoped for ........ Miss F1 live, but Channel 4 has pretty good FREE coverage

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

I have had to cancel f1 subscription as the price has gone back up, I have now reached the point I cannot afford to watch something I have followed since 1976 as a ten year old boy . I'm very disappointed to say the least ,thanks sky

Re: SKY F1 Offer 2021?

So, it looks like it's not happening this season then.

No worries; they've priced themselves out of the market..
