To be fair buying Sky Sports F1 just before the opening race is probably the worst time possible. Of course they are going to try and get as much out of us as possible. Wouldn't be surprised to see the £10 offer wheeled out halfway through the season to try to attract new viewers.

To confirm I ticked the £18 and my account now shows £14 a month for the next 3 months they show on accounts as 'future'. This has not otherwise beeen communicated to me. I've no idea if it was a £4 discount for already having UHD, my failed complaints/phone calls/emails or another random spin of the SKY fruit machine. If this is the American way of doing business heaven help our country for everything else.

Hi all,

Well Sky eventually got back to me and it wasnt good news. 

I received a text yesterday and despite the fact that no one had tried to call me it said that they had tried to contact me as agreed (the call was agreed for today) and that if I still needed to speak to them to call. 

I called the number given and it was the absolutely awful automated system. After three attempts and two conversations with the call centre in Mumbai I was eventually transfered to the 'Values Team' (nice people just not very appropriately named).

The very nice lady I spoke to  said she couldnt contact the person who said they were dealing with my query (sounds ridiculous) but would contact her manager to see what they could do to get someone to call me. She even tried to sell me a mobile package which I politely declined

Then this morning I get a text with the following :-

Good Morning.

Thanks you for your enquiry. Unfortunately that £3 for F1 was a one off error on an account and is not an active offer. Hope this has resolved your query.

So no call, despite promises and assurances from the person I spoke with on Thurdsday, and a reply that doesnt match my claim as this offer has been given to at least two people as evidenced on here. 

I didnt think I was likely to get the £3 offer, but was hoping that they might offer something else to someone who has been a long standing customer and Sky F1 user since it started.

I just find  the customer service to be so terrible that I dont know how they could ever claim to give two hoots about their customers, and their tactic seems to make it so awkward to do anything or to get hold of anyone that most people give up. Well its worked with me, but I also wont ever be using Sky Broadband and if seriously considering leaving Sky TV as soon as I can. 

Ahh well at least I can hopefully go to the Pub soon!

Can even make this up.........wrote a compaint e-mail and received a reply that they have 'updated' their service and need to raise via website. Go to the link and the only way to complaing is by phone (useless as they put you through to some poor person just paid to take flack who cant do anything) or write to them. Write to them?!? In 2021 you can just e-mail or even fill in an online form?

Thier tactics are just to make everything so awkward we just give up.........pretty awful customer service and shows what Sky thinks of its customers.

Thanks for the tip. Might be loosing my marbles but didn't see it this morning (and have used this before). It's not the greatest contact form and the sky chat hasn't been working for quite a while. Also why doesn't it just give the e mail straight away whe you click that it's about TV,broadband or talk. 

Only other thing is when they contact you how do you contact back when the e mail doesn't work? Do you have to start again? When I dealt with another issue I was able to send e mail replies.

Also with this system you don't have automatic record of what you sent unless you screen shot.

Well, as the person who got the £3 offer,  nobody at Sky have told me about this "error on my account".

Wrote a complaint but to be honest was to just get it out of my system. Just seems that they really don't give a #### about their customers.

Glad you got the offer and don't do anything so they take it away! 

Won't pay £18 so it's channel 4 for me

@tarbat Shouldn't be an issue, I've heard of quite a few people who've had the £3 offer
