Right Audio Channel Via HDMI not working through Sky Q box
HI,
I have run a stereo test through YouTube App on Qbox because I realised that sound from Bose soundbar didnt seem full enough. I confirmed that the Right Audio is off.
Tried the test through Spotifiy (blue tooth) and also direct from TV YouTube and the soundbar is working fine so it must be the box or the lead.
I've plugged in the optical lead directly into the Qbox and sound is fine.
I have also changed the HDMI cable and tried both ports. But still only getting one channel. RIGHT OFF
The problem is when using the optical out, when you change to alternative input, such as the switch you don't have any sound.
Any Ideas would be greatfully received
Thanks

Re: Right Audio Channel Via HDMI not working through Sky Q box
hi @Gregzi it does sound like a problem with the box
To double check use a lead you know works fine and plug the SKY Q box into different HDMI slots
and use the TV's Sound options balance selection to double check that you are not getting sound on that channel
(i.e. find the option in the TV's Sound menus for balance & take it to both the far left & far right - depending on the TV you may or may not be able to tell which speaker is in use but if you get no sound when the balance is to one side compeletly you know there is a problem)
I am, of course, assuming your TV has a balance control but I think most do
Once you have double checked on different inputs and if the problem shows on each then I am afarid it is call SKY time.

Re: Right Audio Channel Via HDMI not working through Sky Q box
For an update.... it is now resolved..... don't know how but when the HDMI IN port on the Bose Soundbar and the Arch cable is linked to the TV it all works fine, I know this set up can create a lag, but its absolutely fine.
Thanks @nigea99 for you help, I thought the same as you and it was the box, but using through put from the Bose I was surprised I got a picture tbh. But yes it worked happy now.
