Q box will not turn on

I have to reboot my sky at least 3 times a night as it either goes off or freezes

now tonight when I turn it on the blue light comes on the middle of the Q box but I cannot get a green light on the right of Q box, it is red then after about 3 minutes goes amber and stays amber

It says on the TV 'check cable connections and equipment settings' 

all cables checked non are loose 

can anyone help please

Many thanks. The light is green now and  I can hear the tv but the phrase weak or no signal check cable connection and equipment settings is on the screen 

the remote works as I did the check but I cannot change volume or channel using any of the remote buttons it's stuck on a sky channel  any other ideas please?

@LynneyH if the remote does not operate the TV it sounds like it needs reprigramming which you can do by pressing 1 & 3 together and following the onscreen instructions.
