Price Rises

I've just come back to sky tv after years of not bothering watching tv & i got sky Q, i picked a simple tv deal for £26 a month & i also picked kids tv too which is £4 so my monthly payments should only be £30 so why the hell did i just checked my bills & payment to see that in april my bill will be £75.05 & then in april & june my bills will be £42 am i wrong or is sky just trying to rob people for something they didn't add to their account?? i'm very sure i picked something that should only cost £30 so why is it double what i asked for??

Initial bills can be higher than expected due to in advance charging.  However, if all your future bills are showing at £42 then something is not quite right.

However, you may be aware that Sky have just increased some prices for which as a new customer only have a limited time protection from.  (It's a £1 here and there on separate subscriptions).  Most contracts are not fixed price.

Check your online bill breakdown to identify the charges but ultimately you'll be best to call them.  (I have literally done this in the last hour and got through almost immediately)

It is more likely to be an error rather than intentionally trying to 'rob' you...

@EmJ92 what do the itemised contents of your bills show? The first couple of bills are usually higher to accommodate setup fees etc

I'm not sure why you're starting another thread on the same subject when you've had replies to your previous thread? Ypu can just add to your previous thread.

Re: Price Rises

I couldn't just see this post 🤷🏻‍♀️ But it's something called sky signature along with sky hd & ultra hd & a ultimate tv add on I'm not to sure but I'm still not understanding why they've been added on if I didn't ask for them when I set it up & why the bills are so much more I guess I'm just confused

@EmJ92  Your 1st thread wasn't removed it is still here for all to see, in any event i've merged both threads.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Ultimate TV add-on is NetFlix.  (And HD/UHD increases it to premium)

Either it's been added (and billed in error) or the discounts aren't correct.  Either way Sky should fix it once you discuss with them.

Re: Price Rises

Okay that add on makes sense with the Netflix but the rest is confusing & why my April bill is so high
