@Scottyboy1972 wrote:Am I right in thinking you cant "Add to Playlist" a single episode of something, it adds the whole series?
I think you are right 😡
I watched an old episode of The Royle Family on Gold this afternoon season 2. I DID NOT add it to my playlist. After watching the next episode appeared in continue watching. I did not want that it is not in my playlist.
I had to FF through about 15 episodes of Gold and 4 in iplayer to remove it.
PATHETIC POINTLESS 🤬🤬🤬

Just got home this is not the update i thought it was going to be shame as i was looking forward to it and still no indivual profiles
Profiles will be a firmware update at some point in the future.
This was just a change to how the rails and playlist were displayed.

Sounds like someone in sky needs to apply some logic via a flow chart or such like to get the basics down

Continue watching my **bleep**....it still doesn't sync across all devices.I tried a sky crime show on my glass in the living room, stopped about 20 minutes in and tried on the puck in the kitchen, yes it was at the start of the continue watching rail but when I went to watch it the damm thing started from the start again.
All this hype and all they have seemed to do was change the name of play now to continue watching and move the playlist section
@KevNewMedia should continue watching not be synced across all devices?????
I don't think Sky said that syncing Continue Watching would start working across devices today? It was just the tweaks to playlist and the rail display

@Jporch316 I have it!! Which is amazing 🤣🤣 Actually seems to be a better place for the playlist. Will see if they improve the continue watching, but it maybe a case of building your list.

Re: Playlist refresh now live.
I'm guessing the continue watching will be the same as on Q, filled up with what the algorithm thinks it should be and never used it just sits there because it can.
It looks like Playlist is going down the Apple TV route with the latest available episode being pushed to.the front of the list, this will only become obvious over the coming days.
MOST RECENT is the new PLAY NOW
For Apple TV users this will be quite familiar and now that I've worked out Most Recent is the same as Apple Up Next then this is a step in the right direction. As the days pass and new episodes air it will become more obvious.
The only thing missing is Apple have the ability to easily mark an episode as watched and not having to FF through it to clear it, come on Sky sort this out!
The Apple Up Next works faultlessly will Sky Most Recent?

Re: Playlist refresh now live.
So I just noticed that an episode of a Channel 5 show I randomly started watching last night in the bedroom appeared in my Continue watching in the living room, and it started from the point I left it yesterday. Guess that's how it's supposed to work? Have they fixed it this afternoon?

I have a feeling its app based content that struggles to show progress between devices on the same account whereas the ones on skys catch up and on demand servers are able to keep the progress better. @WestLondonerSW5

Re: Playlist refresh now live.
So, it seems to be working as it should as new episodes of series I've been watching are starting to populate in the "continue watching" rail.
New series that haven't started to be watched appear not to populate in the "continue watching" rail until you start watching them from the "most recent" in the play list!
I am, however, concerned about the mention of random programs you may watch populating the "continue watching" rail on an ongoing basis if you only wanted to watch the one episode!

Re: Playlist refresh now live.
I'm just glad the F1 playlist has now reversed and I no longer have to scroll through 148 episodes to find the latest race. It's a small thing but it's taken a year to sort out.
After being sorely disappointed with Glass since its launch, I'm now pleased to say that I'm running out of things to complain about.

Re: Playlist refresh now live.
Wouldn't it make sense that things don't appear in a 'Continue watching' list.... Unless you've actually started watching them?
The old 'Watch now' thing was confusing. I never really understood what it was for or how it was supposed to work.
We definitely need a way to remove things from Continue watching though.
It's much better having the most recent episodes / series showing first, rather than having to scroll through.
There's still room for improvement but I think this new playlist system is better than before.

Re: Playlist refresh now live.
Ok
just got home - it's not as bad as the thought - just not as good as it could be
still wish they would add a user sort function and I could just view my entire playlist in one - ie sports movies and tv shows altogether
but hey .... small steps
