I've said it all along it can't be that hars to get something so simple to work....or do they think it's something people don't want.

I have 2 lg tvs and a samsung tv if for example I watched something from iPlayer on the lg tv and want to go to bed to watch it on the samsung tv when I open iPlayer hey presto there is is exactly when I left off on the lg tv.IPlayer does it itv hub does it Netflix does it prime does it.Why sky think with people having more tvs in the house and not have this working is beyond me

I don't know I get the feeling somebody has hit the release to public button in error this morning, it's a backwards step. The whole thing just doesn't feel complete it's like a bit of code is missing to bring it all together.

 

If anyone from Sky is reading this "unlikely" please just roll this release back!

Apple TV have achieved it! Their up next works everytime except for Netflix.

 

I'm considering dumping stream it's flawed. Thankfully I have an open tech case so I can cancel outside my 31 days.

What I don't understand is that the playlist sits on a server and is served to all stream devices on your account. - perhaps they have a lag, it's unacceptable whatever is causing the issue.

@Jayboy1990 surley in this day and age sky would know it's a basic feature everyone expects,.I would agree with you in reguards to playlist sitting on a sky server liked to your account,another thing I don't understand is when I get up in the morning and switch on the tv all the previous days viewing in the playnow or should I say continue watching has lost the progress bar and it may or may not come back during the day

The progress bars have always been an issue. @Deedee36 

 

If the cross device syncing continues to be an issue, i would recomend contacting Sky and getting them to register it as an issue. - They can also check for any live events causing the behaviour you report. 

 

I think this clearly highlights the need for sky to start using actual customers when developing the systems and platforms.

Hopefully it will show up in continue watching, will know later when some new episodes tonight air. If this isn't the case then playlist is of no benefit. This all hangs on stream being returned. Roll on Masterchef 😉

OK, so from what i can gather. 

 

Programmes you are already watching should show the next available episode in 'continue watctching'

Example: You watch masterchef and watched yesterdays episode, tonights episode should become avilable to watch in this new section/rail. - You can also go to playlist -> recent -> and the latest available episode should be pushed to the front/top.

 

When you add a new series this would show in playlist -> recents when available. 

Example: You add Brassic to your playlist. You must watch the 1st episode for it to become available in 'continue watching'. Otherwise, it would show in Playlist -> recents -> Brassic. 

 

What i am not certain about is if you see a new series starting next monday and you ad it to playlist, i believe you now have to wait until Monday has arrived and go to Playlist -> recents. It wont just show up on continue watching because in theory you havent started to watch it, you have only told the playlist that you wish to place bookmark for this programme.

Am I right in thinking you cant "Add to Playlist" a single episode of something, it adds the whole series?

You used to be able to go into a series and highlight a particular episode and add from there. 

But that was when we had play now instead of continue watching. 

you could give a go and see what you get. 

@Scottyboy1972  in theory I would imagine if you add an episode you would have to go to playlist -> recents and see if the episode is sitting within their.
