@iakudi I think the issue is that programs are available on the native All 4 App way before they become available on the All 4 App on Glass. If both the native App and the App on Glass were in sync then I could perhaps live with it but they aren't

@WG+Wright  I couldn't agree more. 

I have asked sky and channel 4 why they aren't the same, neither one have me a response! 

Sky glass is something I'm finding more and more difficult to recommend to others in all honesty.

@Jayboy1990 ME too.  I've already told a number of people to wait.

 

This tardy attitude to content really will be the death of Glass.

 

@WG+Wright Pretty unbelieveable, eh?  They're still investigating for me why there was no full playback of the Formula 1 from 3 races back now.  I lodged the issue quite early in November. 

 

I don't hold out any hope now of getting a meaningful and truthful response.

I received my Sky Glass a few days ago and have been trying to restart a program on STV channel. Comes up as a restartable program above the TV guide with other programs on different channels. The STV progam does not restart but the others on alternate channels do work. I opened the STV Player app on SKY Glass and it doesn't seem to have the live TV option ... checking the STV Player on my phone does have live TV and restart works fine. Any help/guidance would be appreciated.

Have you tried going to the channel and restating from there? 

The new rail above the TV guide for restarting tv shows is hit and miss particularly itv

I have been able to restart ITV2/3/4 CH5 programs but not STV ... sadly 😞

@GordonWMcK  So when on the channel if it's available by pressing select to bring up program details it should offer play from start using select. If it's not showing then it's unavailable for that program. 

This can be down to many factors.

The usability of playlist with all the terrestrial channels is not as sold or expected. What happened to the idea of 1000 hrs of online recorded content that was available for you to be able to playback your favourited programs. It is just nowhere near the ease and functionality of SkyQ as yet. Sky have to improve the functionality of Glass to be much more like they sold it as or else they will lose customers hand over fist.

You expect some glitches in new tech and I'm having enough of those with the buffering and duff pucks but the poor usability is not forgiveavble. Some news of pending improvements would be most welcome.

@GordonWMcK  This would suggest that STV are having an issue making the current programme available for restart. 

I have this occasionally from ITV and there is no real way of telling why it happens. 

If you have added the program to playlist it should soon be available on the STV player.

Thanks @Jayboy1990 ... I tried this and see it works for other channels. I have tried a few programs on STV and so far have not been able to restart any program. What I am puzzled by is that the STV programs on my phone are able to restart ... I am suspecting the STV Player App on SKY Glass is different and disables live TV and restarting. But of course I am just guessing 🙂

I emailed channel 4 about a similar issue (Guy's Garage ep 2 missing on Glass) and they are still blaming the fire. I hope the firemen put it out soon as this is getting really annoying.

@Jayboy1990 thanks ... I will wait a while but will also keep checking with my fingers crossed. Given the program can restart on other platforms (my phone and PC) and the SKY Glass App doesnt have live TV makes me think it is the version of the APP that is the culprit. Hopefully SKY/STV will get it sorted soon. Take care.
