Pixelation on recordings mini box

Another qwerk I noticed tonight.  Whilst watching ITV live on my mini box, I went into the menu and as I navigated the on demand tabs, it caused the mini tv picture to break up and pixelate as the box downloaded the thumbnails.

After exiting the menu, the live TV continued to break up.

I'm so fed up with this system!

Another similar issue. Watching the Voice live on mini. It was perfect for 30min. Paused and rewound 30 sec and immediately it starts pausing the sound/video and pixelating within minutes on restarting.

Just watching another recording on the mini from ITV and yes you guessed it, still pixelating did it about three times during this episode of the bay. £44 a month I'm paying for this privilege.

I think everyone is having all kinds of problems caused by this latest update, I have a mix of pixelation problems on recorded and downloaded programs or while watching live on the mini but also on the main but mini appears to be worse. I hope things get fixed soon. It's getting beyond a joke now

I have made the decision to leave Sky. Virgin Media made me  an offer I simply couldn't refuse.

When Sky asked me for reasons why I wanted to leave, this issue was one of the things I highlighted.  

I know it's been approx 2 months since this issue started but when I mentioned this, they said they knew nothing about the issue  - so it's clear different areas within Sky aren't aware of what's really going on.  

I did suggest they should try looking at their own community forums from time to time, as there are plenty of posts about this issue.

They did ask me to make sure I feedback detailed information on this issue when completing the survey that I'll receive off the back of my cancellation; which I'll gladly do - but whether that will help in anyway... who knows.

Anyway, Good luck everyone. I sincerely hope Sky get to the bottom of this hugely frustrating issue.

Tried to watch a recording of the Big Bash Final from BT Sport on the mini last night and gave up after 5 minutes. Pixelation about 3/4 times. Hoping the tech guy I spoke to on Friday was telling the truth otherwise it might be cancellation time.

I have BT sports playing on two mini boxes and main box, perfect so don't think pixelation is any thing to do with network as tried to watch  Endeavor on one mini box last night pixelation was terrible. 
That mini box is very close to man box and hub, also if I do a speed test as close to the pixielation event my speed is well over 30 download and 20 upload.

Is there anyway to do a speed test on the actual Mini box?

I'm starting to think the mini box is degrading over time.  I rebooted mine and it was great for a day, second day 1 or 2 pixelation events, day 3 onwards it just gets worse.

Live BT Sport is fine on my mini. It's any recordings the picture starts pixelating so it's obviously a software issue.

yes you could be right because after I factory defaulted my mini box it had no problems for a few days.

yesterday iI cleared my hard drive of old recording etc.

If you have Netflix there is a speed test in the help menu left hand side of screen.

@Skycambs @The Netflix speed check never completes for me.  It just spins endlessly!
