Pixelated Picture

Just looking for some advice my Sky Q picture keeps Pixelated when the weather is windy and i know this is a common issue but it seems much worse than it once did. Just wondering if the problem is down to something loose on my dish? The signal strenth is always 80 and quality 90. I have tried swapping the cables around that go into the box. Dont want to book an engineer unless its absoluty essential. i have alos unpugged the box from the wall but it hasnt made much difference and also i have manually updated the software version. T I A

hi @rozzer1971

The signal should not really reduce to a pixellated image in windy conditions, so it sounds like something needs tightening  & possibly the alignment checked, so probably best to book an engineer.

BTW the signal indicator on SKY Q can be misleading as it shows the status of a specific transponder used to align the dish  & set in an engineer's menu rather than the transponder of the channel you are currently tuned into and there can be subtle differences between transponders

Re: Pixelated Picture

Many thanks nigea99 for your reply regarding my Sky issue. Will go ahead and book an engineer and i know how to book online. Yes, since the storms the uk had last month the picture has not been very good when windy and the dish is on the side of the house and in full view on the westerly  wind dirrection  so like you say something is probably loose or the dish is slighly out of alighment. Thanks again
