Picture settings

I’m very happy with the picture on my Glass tv until I try to watch something on other apps, egDisney+, when the picture is dull, wide contrast, even in a darkened room. I don’t want to spend time altering picture settings every time I change source. Does any one have easy solutions?

Re: Picture settings

@bayardm

I have raised the issue with sky regarding the grey look feel to Disney+ channel.

All my other channels are great but Disney+ is shocking tbh.

Re: Picture settings

@Chrisee That’s the problem, I’ve set my picture using custom settings but they’re no good on Disney.

@bayardm most Disney content is in HDR if you have set your SDR settings with too high a setting for the backlight much above 50 when you switch to HDR mode the picture will look dull.

Re: Picture settings

@bayardm Sky Glass doesn't handle HDR very well. Disney plus on Sky Glass doesn't offer Dolby Vision, therefore if set on HDR, everything will appear dull. Unfortunately just down to the limitation of the set

Re: Picture settings

I agree, shocking picture on Disney + (The Mandalorian) Had to drop the settings in the Disney app down to HD and crank up the colour saturation on the Glass Tv to get a remotely watchable picture. Obviously not fixed in the latest software update unfortunately.

Re: Picture settings

I've got a Amazon Fire 4k Max plugged into my Glass TV and the picture, be it HD, UHD or Dolby Vision, is excellent.

The internal Disney app not so good.
