Picture freezing, reset and unplug didn't resolve - think box is gone

I was trying to watch recordings which were freezing and failing to fast forward or rewind. Unplugged and plugged back in didn't fix it. Got an error that said interactive wasn't working and go to online help. Tried to do a rebuild of planner and got error 'your planner cannot be rebuilt in diskless mode'. Switched off, checked the viewing card, and opposite the chip it looks slightly burnt - it appears as if it is overheating. Put card back in, same errors. Did a hard reset which deleted all my saved programmes as expected but didn't correct the freezing problem. Tried another recording which still freezes. Now just while watching TV, error came up that said 'channel not available' on every channel. Had to unplug and plug back in to reboot. Recorded programme still freezing on playback every so often and taking an age to load.

It's clear the box is gone. How do I get a replacement?

Either give Sky a call - they may be able to provide a replacement - or look for a used box on ebay etc. There's no shortage of cheap boxes available. Just be sure to choose only a DRX890 or DRX895 model.
