Not got a viewing card but box is asking for one help

I can't remember having a viewing card since changing sky boxes and suddenly the box wants one 😭

The box definitely needs a viewing card. Have you checked the viewing card slot.

There isn't one visible in the slot so unless it's all the way in the box it's never had one: I had one in my old box that was visible. 
I vaigly remember being told it didn't need one when the engineer fitted it but that was at least 5 yrs ago 🤦‍♀️

A viewing card is required to decrypt the subscription channels, with out a card you'll only be able to watch the freesat channels an not be able to record or download on demand content

So you have no card in the front slot on the righthand side behind the flap? if so go to channel 106 (Sky One) and what happens

so in the flap! There is a card where it's always been 😂😂😂

Glad it was a simple fix, maybe a minor earthquake shook the card loose 😈
