Non Stacking of Recordings - Better but not solved!

@Chloe-W22  i was told for the 2nd time in 3 weeks by sky to delete the programmes i had problems with as there was a new fix. Promised I would despite it being very annoying. So once again deleted all east enders, emmerdale, coronation Street  and others. Next day I set up the series again and after 2 days eastenders came up as 2 separate blue tiles, coronation street ok emmerdale ok but after 4 days 'other' folder has now appeared yet again. So somehow I still have problems and other series I follow and totally deleted also have got

 problems.

No other episodes in the deleted folder 

Both episodes recorded okay on the above dates ... I checked  just after the Fridays episode finished recording to make sure ... all exactly where they should be and in order . 

I am up at 4 am today and checked again... all okay ... The skyq box was in standby ( as normal).  At about 5-ish am, I noticed the box go off and on for a couple of minutes. 

So, turning on the TV again and checking a few stacked recordings, It has now caused an issue with the 'other' column which is now back on the screen 

Not sure if this helps @Chloe-W22 , but it is my observations

I phoned Executive team to report that the issue is nearly sorted and could they provide some meaninful compensation for the hassle of recording issues as I had discussed with them last year.

The guy passed me on to a call handler who escalated to team leader  who offered me a £10 bill credit.  Politely told them it was a insult and went back to executive team.  After a long converstion eventually got offerd £25 which I took as  better than a poke in the eye.

As a result we are 99% certain to be off to Virgin/O2 for TV after 20 years and mobile after 2 years (in addition to Broadband and phone) 

SKY's loss I'm afraid.

We would never have considered leaving if we had stuck to SKY+HD and not fallen for the SKYQ marketing hype 

SKYQ has been poor since we got it, and SKY took so long to even admit there was an issue.

Somehow management

1. allowed a product so much poorer than the existing one to be released;

2.allowed an architecture update that crippled it;

3. did not have a plan to reverse the update;

4.denied there was an issue for a time, or didn't inform customer facing staff that there was an issue;

5. allowed customer service staff to issue instructions to reset systems when they new it wouldn't solve anything.

I suspect they want us all streaming rather than recording.

@wkeith oh I really am sorry to lose you from these posts, you have been so knowledgeable and it's been good to read what you had to say.  You're so right it is a bad service and if I could get Virgin here I too would leave. Unfortunately not in my area. I may consider not having it at all and use my smart tv more. I am so disappointed about how we've had to put up with this mess for so long and they offer you £25? Awful, wishing you happy and better viewing, cheers

all theses issues with recordings stacking ,thumbnails incorrect, blank thumbnails, incorrect or no metadata theses are all still issues in someways but if sky was bothered they would of fixed  them by now so i'm so fed up and annoyed that sky haven't fix them yet when i contact sky viewers on email about blank thumbnails and incorrect metadata they just keep saying nothing we can do issue is down to the broadcaster but if sky cared  at all they would fix these issue and if there is an issue with broadcaster and sky are aware they should try and fix them and if need be they should contact the broadcaster and work with them to fix it but oh no sky don't want to work with the broadcasters to fix the issues as sky just said i need to contact them to make them aware then i do not still not fixed but if sky worked with the broadcasters it's more likely to get fixed but if it's happening with more then one channel it's more then likely issue is not just with  broadcasters but still the main problem with these  issues are down to sky but sky just don't care about its customers or they would of fix it i think sky are just trying to get everyone to have sky glass or sky stream

I've suffered from non stacking,Other Tab and no thumbnails for ages but things have started to get even stranger.On Friday the two recordings of ITV3 Classic Coronation Street ended up in the ITV1 Coronation Street tile and changed the tile title to Classic Coronation!!!.Today Classic Coronation Street recorded fine but checking out the recordings,saw two tiles,presumed that each tile had one episode each in them as has happened loads of times during this debacle.However both tiles had the two episodes in so now the tiles are duplicating.Deleted the episodes from one of the tiles and both vanished.

Crikey it isn't very good is it,wondering what's going to come next,it used to be so simple now it's just chaos.

As a side note a lot of the replies to this thread do seem to mention the soaps a lot being series linked and having problems.

@Paula+R this is exactly what happened to me and blue tiles too. Doctors the same, not fixed by any means

@Mormor1950i could just about handle the 'other' tab and non stacking, not happy mind considering what everyone pays for Sky,but these new things,thinking that they haven't recorded then seeing them in other programmes tiles,then duplicating tiles,if it continues may make me have a serious think about things as it's turning into a bit of a lottery.

Bloody hell,you ain't going to believe it,whilst posting I have been watching the first episode of the two classic Corrie recorded this afternoon.Finished it and deleted.About to press play on the second and low and behold the ITV1 Coronation Street currently being recorded is shown next to the remaining Classic Corrie.Things have completely reversed!!Deleting that first episode also got rid of the double tile,well at the moment anyway,will check when the recording ends in 5 mins.So confused and frustrated now.

I suspect that soaps are what people record - its the nature of them.  and it lets you skip the interminable adverts - another reason why sky may prefer us streaming - they can monetise the ability to skip adverts.

Ok last post on this,watched the second Classic Corrie and deleted.The ITV1 Coronation Street that was recording has now finished and is the only episode in the tile.The tile title has changed from Classic Coronation Street ITV3 to coronation street ITV1,doing my nut in all this.When are they going to sort it all out,can't wait till tomorrow when the next ITV3 Classic Coronation record to see where they end up.

Really mean this last post😆The tile picture title is ITV Coronation Street but the picture is ITV3 Classic Coronation Street,it's like they're intertwined now in some weird way.

Tomight, all three now have 'Other' columns

Coronation St being the worst as they don't stack in order within the columns

 
I was advised by the Executive Team that this thread is checked for more information.

as of today when using search to search for classic coronation street itv3 it no longer find it via search i have to manually go to catch up to find it but it should show via search because it not showing via search i can't view the "on the week tab" so this also needs looking into also classic coronation street itv3 is showing some episodes under coronation street itv1 via search and on this week this also needs looking into they shouldn't be getting mixed up and classic coronation street should show via search i think it's time all these issues get fixed as theses issues with missing/ incorrect /blank thumbnails incorrect or no metadata, stacking and programmes getting mixed with other programmes these issues are getting worse i can see why people are angry that they not being fixed my friend has virgin and they never have these kind of problems so why does sky have these problem at least if this was an issue with virgin it would get fixed straight away but with sky i doesn't look like it will get fixed the issues will just keep getting worse seems to be a new issue every week please @chloe-w22 and kirsty+s27 look at these comments and pass them onto relevant department and keep us updated on this thanks
