No satellite signal. Can i stream?

We have trees blocking our sky signal. It could take years to sort out if I can cut these down.

In the mean time, I have no satellite signal at all. We can download movies and use catch up and on demand etc but no live TV!

I have used the BBC app on my sky q box, but how can I stream all TV.

Sky go is ok, but I cant stream or cast it to our main TV.

Sky help desk just direct me to an engineer. We had one out and its the trees.

If you have no signal from your to your Sky Q box then you will be unable to stream the channels to the app but if you disconnect the app from the box you will be able to watch a limited set of channels but not those from the likes of the BBC.

They need sky go, on the q box for when the signal goes....

You can watch live channels on Sky Go without Sky Q, I don't have Sky Q and can quite easily stream live channels via the app as the app connects to your Wifi and not your Q box.

Yes but not on my TV. 

Kids can't watch any TV at the mo

Sky television is still fundamentally a satellite system, and cannot be expected to function as designed in the absence of a signal arriving at the dish.  Sky Go is intended as an add-on, not a replacement: their non-dish product is NowTV.
