hi @terryrush

You probably have but if not, I suggest you  do a power down restart of your router

Hi @terryrush

Have you tried a Network reset on the Q box with the Ethernet connected.

Network Reset found in Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect wired to 3rd party (or Sky Router if on Sky broadband).   Do not carry out any WPS and wait for the box to connect.

Re: No internet

Hi

Yes, completed that and still no Internet.

About 6 months ago the Q box wouldn't connect over wi-fi all of a sudden despite working OK previous year or so. Hence why I now have ethernet cable. Ordered new cable and going to try that.

Re: No internet

Hi

Done that many times and still the Q box will not pick up wi-fi.

Read somewhere that if router not a Sky router then likely have problems.

I am with BT and funny enough, when with Sky broadband before I changed,  I did not have wi-fi problems at all. I feel Sky have done something with Q to block or cause issues so that you return to them for your broadband if you use another provider for Internet.  Basically got you over a barrel really.

Re: No internet

Hi @terryrush , If you are still connected via ethernet from your Router to the main Sky Q box then I suggest you disable WiFi on your Sky box as for some weird reason Sky Q likes to "force" connection via WiFi (even if an ethernet cable is plugged in).,once WiFi disabled then power down both your Router and Q box, then fully reboot the Router, once stable power up the Sky Q box.

Back to Sky Q and 2 mini boxes after a failed attempt at Sky Stream (again) , VM 1 gb Broadband and Google Nest WiFi Pro.

@terryrushmany people including myself successfully use BT, however as 3rd party routers only connect using 2.4Ghz rather than both 2.4 and 5Ghz.

If all else fails turn off 5Ghz in the BT hub connect the Sky box and then turn 5Ghz back on in the hub. You can do this using the admin log in information which is on the pull out card at the back of the hub.

Re: No internet

All

I powered down router and Q box and left for about hour. I then started all systems again using same ethernet cable. Low and behold it works for some strange reason.  I now have spare ethernet cable just in case.

I will try to change settings in router to only use 2.4ghz and see if I can get it working over wi-fi..
