No internet

I have had no internet since the 24/05/2021, called for an enginer who said it was down to the optics under ground so openreach would get it sorted ASAP, well outreach has closed the case and and even though i still have no internet and the problem is not from my house because i still have no internet i have had to take a day off for openreach to come to my house next week for the circle to start again and another insult still paying for sky amazon and netflix. Why cant they just com around and re connect me its been 5 weeks .

You'll need to chase Sky as they are your provider - in turn, they have to chase OpenReach.

Probably not much consolation but you will get compensation:

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Openreach have to establish where the problem is first. Presumably they thought they had done that first time round. You should get compensation for the period without service: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

Re: No internet

Thank you for your responses but I'm not holding much hope on Tuesday as my neighbour across the road has also had the same problem as us and when the engineer went around after open reach closed the case said there was nothing they could do the problem wasn't from her house and would escalate the case, she is with BT, its been 5 weeks and nothing seems to be happening, we have been in constant contact with sky and although they say how sorry they are we just get excuses and different explanations of what the problem is.

Sky, and therefore you are at the mercy of Openreach, I'm afraid.

Re: No internet

I appreciate that I am under openreachs mercy but do you think they will re connect me?

Is it possible they will take everything down and start again, new wires etc.

As you probably can relate I am at my wits end, my whole house is connected to the Internet.

Openreach will do whatever is necessary to reconnect you, but timescales will depend on what needs to be done to find and fix the fault. If it involves digging up roads or footpaths it may take a while as they'll need to obtain permission from the local authority etc.
