we've just had our sky q installed and now can't download things from catch up and on demand. Surely I don't have to pay extra for that? Our bill isn't itemised but paying around £40 a month I expect to be able to download at least basic channels like before on sky+?

There is a known issue with new customers and on demand not working so if you can't download Catchup content in SD then give Sky a call and ask them to refresh the signal to your box.

Changed on demand settings to SD and now it works, not sure why we can't get HD but I'll save that phone call for another day Thankyou

@Cmossmum do you pay for the HD subscription if not that is the reason you do not get catchup/boxsets in HD as Sky signature comes with SD only as standard

Hi just to let you know you can pay extra for hd but I prefer to keep SD and not pay the extra for when you download anything change format and it downloads straight away mine is the same
