New sky Q box - doesn't give option to download previous episodes of shows

Just changed from HD+ to Sky Q box - can't see previous episodes of any of the shows I normally search - seems to be no option to download episodes of previous shows - what am I doning wrong, or is there an issue with my set up?

Hi @TeeHL 

Not all previous content is available.

Go to Home menu and On Demand and BoxSets tabs shows all available content.

Make sure you are not trying to Download HD content without the Q HD Subscription pack.

Sky Signature includes BoxSets and Entertainment channels only in SD as standard.
Only free to air channels such as BBC, ITV etc are in HD. The Q HD pack is required for all other Sky Signature HD content, including Catch Up in HD, On Demand in HD and BoxSets in HD
If you do not have the Optional HD pack you need to change the Download to SD in All Formats.
So that you do not need to do this every time it’s best to change your Download preference to SD in Home - Settings - Setup - Preferences.

Then if you want to download any HD content from free to air channels (BBCHD ,ITVHD etc) you can select HD in the All formats tab of the content . This will change the format for that particular download only but still leave your format to SD in preferences.

@oldfella I had already set the preference to SD in case that was the issue.  When I seach up a programme, it only seems to give me the option for what is going to be showing (in the future), but no options for past shows, even on the main BBC/ITV channels?  I cant even see older episodes - I'm a bit miffed as I was told when ordering from sky it was all exactly the same but with a new box lol!

Do you know is there no facility to flick through previous series etc if not an actual box set of something?

Also when I use the search eyeglass it seems really limited in what its bringing up.  I think I need to speak to Sky, but this directed me to this Forum and not the actual Sky chat.

Content as far as I am should be similar to Sky+HD boxes.

Are you going to the Home - On Demand or BoxSet Tabs.

There are channel listings there.

The BBC iPlayer App is also on Sky under Apps.

You can also use Voice search on the Remote control

I'm a Sky+HD user, but the other day I was at my in-laws (with Sky Q). I searched (using the Search button) for Killing Eve and all previous (and future) episodes were available just like they are on Sky+HD.
