Re: New Update is now out.
@oldernotwiser All consumer electronics will receive regular software updates to enhance the product, fix issues with the software.
These updates are automatic so no need to do resets or any other work. Just leave the tv on over night and it will be fine.

Re: New Update is now out.
UHD football on the puck reverted to rubbish again tonight. Jerky and stop start despite audio being fine, and yet post match it's fine. Really am not sure whether the actaul game broadcast was rubbish or the pucks are bad with lots of action on screen, so they're effectively underpowered?

Re: New Update is now out.
@Joe-Bow I have had issues with dropped frames on a puck which are not present on the Glass TV and both have ample bandwidth - powerline connection. So you may have a point especially as the amount of motion seems to cause the problem so panning shots are the worst.

Re: New Update is now out.
So many Glass users seem to spend their evenings rebooting/restarting/pulling out the plug repeatedly on their tv's and pucks, or on the phone to Sky! Instead of actually watching television. What on earth is that all about? It seems like a new hobby for some of you!
I'd really wanted to buy a glass TV for my holiday let property so that guests could watch Sky instead of just Freeview. However the tales of woe on this forum since launch says to me that it'd be a constant nightmare! I'm sure it'll all get sorted in a year or two, but in the meantime, you early adopters have my utmost sympathy and your patience is admirable.

Re: New Update is now out.
Hi @Wholmealtoast yes you're right reading posts here, people are having to restart alot, to get their system to work 😞 But remember people don't offend search out forums to tell everyone how good something is, so you always find more negatives than positives.
All I can add is, for me,, my glass TV has not needed the constant restarts others have needed/experienced it's been great 👍 ...
my other half's IPhone on the other hand, this last month, is really doing my head in lol needing constant reboots ...... so I feel peoples pain

That's my experience too - the tv has worked pretty reliably and hasn't required much in the way of restarts. The Puck on the other hand has to be restarted multiple times a day and is a royal pain in the proverbial.

Re: New Update is now out.
Keep in mind that Sky is increasingly less suitable for holiday accommodation, as without the PIN number a substantial proportion of content (including some broadcast channels) is unavailable, but with the PIN account details are vulnerable and purchasing is available.
It's also outside the terms of the T&C's to offer domestic Sky access in a commercial let.

Re: New Update is now out.
I had that issue......it used to work by using actual sky a remote nd holding down 1 and 3 for 3 seconds ......Then recently I did I hard reset and I was stuck on that again.......the sky a remote no longer fixed the issue. I spoke with tier 2 at sky and they said to plug the puck into the router with an Ethernet cable and it goes straight into software update and works........I had to take a small tv into the living room I order to do this as they said you could not come t puck to glass tv ...... anyway....that's the latest solution. But I'm sure you have it sorted now as I noticed this post was from beginning of December @Dave+r+robbo

Re: New Update is now out.
To be fair, for a new product, we haven't had too many issues but we don't use a puck. The latter does seem problematic. On the whole, I like my new Sky tv. It needs improvements; yes. And I am hoping those will come as this new product is developed (deleting from playlist comes to mind. I'm ok with that but drives the other half mad. A way of recording maybe in the manner of old sky?). But I do like what I have. The price is about right for what it is too.

@Dazzar51 It doesn't need asking across 3 threads though, you have a thread asking this already. Cross posting is not helpful in any way

To see if anyone else has had the problem since the update and to ask a general question, and to find out why something I pay for is not working.

@Dazzar51 Cross posting does not help though. Stick to the one thread where all the answers can be posted
