hi @CatManDo if it is material that is rated at post watershed age levels then you will be prompted for a PIN irrespective on any parental controls when watching before the watershed

Re: New Sky Q Install Questions

Last question of the day I promise!

Have connected Sky Q upto my Yamaha YSP2500 soundbar using 'TV' input opitcal.  This is because my sound bar does not pass through full HDR content via HDMI.  I don't want to use ARC as have had issues with this is the past.

When watching something with a DD soundtrack through Sky Q the amp just says 'surround' how will I know if I am getting true DD?  When using the sound bar with Apple TV for example it display HD Surround.  I know this is perhaps more of a sound bar question but just want to be sure I am getting the best sound through my new Sky Q.

Thanks again.

I don't know your sound bar (although being Yamaha I guess I could look at the manual  as they are  easily accesible - my AV  Amp is Yamaha)

Just make sure you have set the output in  Settings - Setup - Audio Visual  - Digital audio Output Optical to Dolby Digital and not Normal (also do NOT  set the HDMI one to DD + - there is a warning for this)

@CatManDo BTW it will depend on the programme content as to whether you do get 5.1 surround - if you want a quick test I suggest S1 Ep1 of A discovery of Witches (which may also be available in HDR)

There are of course plenty other examples
