Yes Do. They will tell you they can't. But they can!

Have pretty much the same problems, just on to Sky for a replacement for 4 weeks. If it doesn't work, have asked for a refund. For switching back on have you tried the power button on the lhs bottom corner? Sometimes saving you doing the full reset and logging into all apps again.

Well, I can add my name to the growing list of unhappy Sky Glass users...despite using Ethernet I still get freezing pictures, lost sound, total system lock up and unresponsive remote/side button. Hard boots are required several times a day. I had an engineer servicing my boiler today and whilst I was explaining the problems the system actually went into some kind of sound feedback loop and crashed to a black screen...the first hard boot I got a 'no internet' message (testing through Sky app and Ookla showed it was all fine)...second reboot seemed to sort it. I am spending more time trying to get the bl**dy thing to work than I am watching it.
I am fast running out of patience and ideas now...how can it be this bad, and what options do I have given that I appear to have been misled by Sky into buying a 'not fit for purpose' product! HELP!

You have far more patience than I did and I have a lot! Reverted back to SkyQ and kept the TV, working well now, best thing I did

Unless you have plenty of time on your hands (and patience) to fully troubleshoot your home broadband network, the easiest thing to do is call Sky and get "the bl**dy thing" removed from your house. Get a full refund, buy a much better, more reliable TV and get Sky Q installed.
It's a shame, but you're one of many who feel the same about Glass. It really should have been more thoroughly tested before release.

Where does one begin ? Sky Glass has the potential to be superb, except it's so not. Let's start with the ultra hi def tv......quality is not great and certainly not worth the cost. The technology is clunky at best - it's appalling at worst. It certainly does not work properly - even after disabling all its so called clever tech.
The Glass does not like Ethernet and our network at our home is industrial, delivering 1gb per room......so we have had to use Wi-Fi. Our incoming broadband is 1gb down and 100mbps up. Our Wi-Fi, delivers approx 500mbps down in each room. However Sky Glass still freezes, looses sync and crashes. Bad design with no headphone socket either ! And no digital sound out, so can't use proper audio system and decent speakers.
Then, the PUKS.......DREADFUL ! sometimes takes 20 minutes plus to connect and then sync is out by up to 5 frames. Yesterday one puk took 11 reboots before it started properly.
Panther were supposed to deliver me a replacement Glass, but then a Panther driver told me the replacement screens are refurbished and that Panther are collecting more screens from disgruntled customers that they now deliver. .............
I run a Peloton Bike and Peloton tread, also using our Wi-Fi. Peloton deliver hi def streaming programmes but never freeze, never loose sync, never take 20 mins or multiple reboots to get their screens to work.. they work instantly, every time and picture quality is much better that the glass...
Sky ??

So you can keep the glass TV & use sky Q?
27 Jan 2022 08:31 PM
I've seen several posts here where people have done that...

Yes, Sky very helpful reverting back to SkyQ

It does seem to have been rolled out on a wing and a prayer, I can just imagine the techies telling the managers it's not ready, and being overruled in the name of profit/targets. If so it's spectacularly backfired as Skys reputation is sinking like the Titanic. I've been with them for 23 years...it feels like the end!

We had our dish taken down, so we have to get Glass to work and frankly it should work.

I really believe sky can get this right. They need to seriously upgrade both firmware and software. And by the way, the interface is awful too. Let's not even talk about the misguided Playlist !

I moved house and cannot have a dish here, so I'm in the same boat. Have to say right now I'm thinking Freeview and Firestick is the way to go 🤷🏻♀️

Sky glass is awful. I've just gone back to Sky Q and had to renegotiate a price (I was not going to pay more to go backwards!) We've been mis-sold in my opinion. It does not do what it says on the tin! Sky glass does NOT record as stated in their advertising. The wi-fi keeps disconnecting (nothing else in the house does), apps that we have to use to watch TV often crash or freeze and you can't rewind or fast forward easily. Some Freeview channels are not available. I often cannot pause live TV, when it does pause, it restarts automatically after 10 minutes or so and won't let me re-pause. The picture is great but I was much happier with my sound bar and sub woofer. Who knew watching TV could be so stressful. Anyone else feel like they've been had? :'(

I questioned them taking the TV back but because I'm paying for it monthly, they say they cant.
I could buy a better TV and use Sky Q.
