Hi,
This evening my Sky Q box ( main) is off also, the 2 small boxes. This has never happened before. I am wondering if this could be caused by the really hot weather we have and has damaged the satelite.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Cassie35 if the main Q box is not working the Q minis wont either as it provides their signal.
It is possible that a main box can overheat but should not if it has reasonable ventillation - never stack anything on top of a Q box as it cools through its top surface. Before they fail from the heat though the boxes make a terrible racket as the fan ramps up. Q boxes are quite capable of coping with 30 degree heat - Sky Italia use the same boxes and our heat wave doesn't register as much more than a warm spell over there.😀
Follow the steps here to restart your main box https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-box-not-working#need-a-hand
If those steps dont work you will need to call Sky.
