Latency and packet loss

Recently moved back home and brought a ps5 after not having games console for a while. Straight away there's lots of delay, latency and packet loss. I've brought WiFi booster, changed settings etc and still doing it.

any ideas?

@JakeT123 using a PS5 over wifi is never a good idea especially with a booster as any interference will cause jitter and packet loss and therefore lags in the game. Best solutionis an ethernet cable or failing that powerline adapters.

While lag and packet loss can happen between the server and the Sky hub it is unusual and issues in your local network are far more likely.

@JakeT123

If your house electrics are on the same circuit and in good condition wifi/ethernet powerline adapters allow wifi and ethernet access in rooms where the wifi signal isn't good and it is not feasible to run an ethernet cable

@JakeT123

Use an ethernet cable if you can. Also can your post your router stats? Worth checking your line is okay
