Laptop disconnects from VPN only over WiFi?

I was wondering if anyone can help with this issue as I have tried some extensive googling but can't seem to find the same issue I have - I have also raised a fault with my employer but they couldn't find any issues their end and couldn't really progress it any further.

I have a work laptop which is running on W10 and we are required to use Cisco Anyconnect Duo as our VPN in order to get logged on to the work laptop.  The issue I have is that if I am connected to my broadband over WiFi it constantly dropps off the VPN multiple times per hour and is unworkable, and I have to re-generate a log on and log back on constantly, however if I am connected via ethernet cable directly to the router it doesn't drop off the VPN at all until I manually disconnect at the end of the day.

I don't really have any other issues with the wifi on any other devices (except for the signal being poor in some of the bedrooms) and my husband uses his work laptop in a different room over wifi with a different VPN and doesn't have any drop out issues so it seems the issue is either the wifi on the laptop (although the wifi seems to work fine if I don't connect the laptop to the VPN) or the interation between the Cisco AnyConnect & Sky Broadband(WiFi) - it means I have to sit in the front room so that I can have the laptop connected to the router via the cable and I am unable to utalise my office space and my back isn't that happy about being slumped on a sofa over a laptop!

Unfortunately thats just the nature of WiFi. It can be unstable a lot of the time. Theres a chance there is an issue with the WiFi drivers in your laptop which your company would have to look at. Other than that ethernet is your best option.

To save you having to sit in the same room as the router you could look at getting powerline adapters which carry ethernet signals across your existing electrical wiring so you can plugin in a different room
