@Mark39

To be honest, I think Sky themselves have unwittingly created a lot of the bad feeling amongst customers themselves by targetting existing Q customers. Clearly, a streaming platform is a whole different world to a platform based on time shift recording to a hard drive, and whilst some would say "should have done your homework",  I do think that Sky could and should have been far clearer in their marketing to those customers - particularly bearing in mind their unfortunate use of the word "record" with relation to Glass.

I do think that Glass will ultimately be a success - I have one mate who has it and loves it, and whilst not for me because I'd rather choose my own TV/sound system etc, I can see the attraction. I just think that Sky may well have been better off, and avoided a lot of self inflicted injury, by targetting it as a major upgrade option to Now customers, rather than a direct replacement for Q which it very clearly isn't.

Agreed @Pacco65. With the best will in the world, 'doing your homework' wouldn't have helped here simply because,there was nothing much available to read other than the marketing material and as with all marketing material, it didn't give the full picture. Undoubtedly that would have led to people making assumptions (me included) which later proved to be wrong. I too don't see it as an upgrade to or replacement for Sky Q, just different.
