Are we getting any compensation for the time we could not use it until we worked out how to by pass their broken system .

I was told they have to work out what's wrong and fix it then decide who was at fault before they will think about offering compensation. I don't understand why three don't just send an update to the router to change the dns like we have on our mesh system 🤷‍♂️

Same situation here. I changed my DNS to 1.1.1.1 for primary and 1.0.0.1 for secondary. Problem solved. Very easy to do. Sky OD is loading faster too. 

This has to be a problem with sky considering 3 and now Vodafone are affected by these updates.

easier said than done on 5g huawei router. settings are hidden - voda phone cube. 

it had started to work after contacting sky but back to same old a few days later.

Tried setting DNS 1.1.1.1 on 5g router. The internet went down....

Had the same from sky that they will work in the background and all will be good. It did for a few days.. I have a feeling it's just an excuse and 'hope for the best'..

Annoying that it didn't work on the Vodafone Gigacube. Most of us on 3 who had the same problems recently used a secondary router to set the DNS and it worked fine. For the sake of £15 (and if you get on the phone to sky about it not working without the router they might be in the Christmas Spirit and give you a credit) it may be worth looking back through the thread for the information on how to set the DNS on a Huawei WS5200 router.

Don't want to change the dns back on my mesh system if it's not going to work.

 Hey @p5 the issue with Three broadband and Sky seems to be resolved a week or two ago. Try changing your DNS back to default and check whether it works for you.  (There are a few new posts in the thread because it appears Vodafone Broadband is now a victim of the same issue)

@p5  Left mine with the 1.1.1.1 and still works fine so there is no real need to change it if you do not want to,

I've left mine on 1.1.1.1 but my son has the three 4g home broadband just for his pc and puk, it's not running off the  mesh system like the rest of the house, so I couldn't change the dns for him. I'll get him to check his puk and see if it all works.

Looks like it Is finally working, tried my sons puk and my dad's, both on three and couldn't change dns and everything loads and plays fine. 

They can now enjoy all the old Christmas movies, they will be so pleased 🤣🤣
