Interruption

Am I right in thinking that interruptions to signal seem to happen at peak times - and is nothing to do with my broadband?

I'm a non techy as you can probably work out!

Hi @Grandpa+Mikey - there is no signal in the traditional sense as the channels on Glass are delivered via the internet.

Are you able to advise how you glass is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or Ethernet? Also who is your internet provider and download speed?

Re: Interruption

@Grandpa+Mikey You should always get a much better signal if you are able to use an ethernet connection.

Re: Interruption

@WG+Wright my router is far off - could I use ethernet from a mesh adapter?

Thanks

Re: Interruption

@Grandpa+Mikey Not sure tbh as it's not something I'm familiar with. @Chrisee is this something you could help with?

No idea but I use powerline adapters without any problems

@WG+Wright your issue is unlikely to be due to internet congestion at busy times thst is not common these days. Wifi issues in your homeare the most likely cause. Where you are using mesh units they have to have a good backhaul to your router, if your unit has then an ethernet cable from the mesh unit to the Glass unit may help.

Another approach is to use powerline adapters which use the mains wiring to carry the signal these are not cheap but are pretty reliable assuming you have decent wiring.

Re: Interruption

@WG+Wright - I have used a powerline adaptor, with direct ethernet connection and - at the moment - there has been a great improvement. Thanks
