Internet connection - router booster

I have just moved house and my Sky router is located in a separate room to the Sky Q box.  The house has thick walls and I am using plug-in (BT) boosters to enhance the internet is the main rooms remote from the Sky router.  These signal boosters work well and provide a great signal.  However, they appear to be confusing the Sky Q box.  I have successfully connected the Sky Q box to the BT boosters, which have a separate password to the Sky router, but after just a few minutes the Sky Q box loses connection to the booster and I have to keep manually connecting thro' Network connections' and re-entering the password each time.  Does any one know why this happens and how I can get the Sky Q box to permanently accept the booster?

@Uncle+Dick you will always have issues getting a stable connection where you use a third party wifi booster between a Sky hub and a Q box. The Q box will try to connect to the weak Sky wifi signal rather than the boosters signal.

Sky will supply a Sky booster if you call them and explain the issue however a better solution in homes with thick walls is often powerline adapters which use the mains wiring to carry the signal. You buy a kit with 2 adapters one plugs into the wall near the hub and is linked by an ethernet cable that comes in the kit the second is similarly plugged in near the Q box again use a wall socket. The Q box will provide strong wifi signal.
