IP Configuration failure for all Wifi devices.

Sometimes my router disconnects all wifi devices, the wifi light is still green on the router and the router is visible to any phones or laptops in the house when you search for it but when you try to connect the device gets stuck in an infinite loop during the "Obtaining IP address" part, it then fails, tries to connect again and eventually just says there is an IP Configuration Error. This happens with all wifi connected devices so turning them off or anything is not related, its not specific to any device.

The internet itself still runs fine to any Ethernet connected devices and all the lights are green but unless I restart the router, no devices can connect via wifi without this error. It also seems to be happening more and more frequently, I have to restart my router every day or so now because it just randomly does this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would say you have a faulty router then. Wouldnt expect that behaviour from the SR203, especially which no Q boxes

@sf2056

Try these options seperately :-

Factory reset router - locate reset button on back off router and press until lights flash and reconnect wifi devices

Flight mode -

  • Selecting Flight or Airplane mode
  • Waiting 15-20 seconds
  • Disabling flight mode
  • Waiting to see if your devices reconnect to the available Wifi network or not.

Re: IP Configuration failure for all Wifi devices.

At most, its about 4-5 devices but it has happened when there is just a single wifi connected device.

The Model Number is: SR203
