How long to get Broadband Shield access?

Hi, 

 Just moved into new house, Sky Tv and Broadband all hooked up but the engineers installation job (that has been signed off by Open Reach) hasen't allowed me to get access to Broadband Shield. I need to use a VPN but I assume the software is blocking it? 

How long does Sky take to give access so I can turn the darn thing off?!
