So, the F2 Feature race has appeared on Sky Go - still no sign on Sky Glass. As per last year it's a pain to find and you still can't search to it.
After watching the F1 in UHD the PQ is noticeably worse!

I AM DELIBERATELY TYPING IN UPPER CASE. ABSOLUTELY FUMING (AND IF I COULD DROP SEVERAL FBOMBS I WOULD). NO SIGN OF TODAY'S RACE DESPITE CHECKING IT WAS IN MY PLAY LIST EARLIER.
JUST SOME RUBBISH 10 MIN HIGHLIGHTS, AND OH BY THE WAY PLENTY OF SPOILER CLIPS.
AFTER LAST. YEARS MESS I HOPED THIS HAS BEEN SORTED.
COMPLETE JOKE SKY. AFTER 20+ YEARS WITH YOU I'M WILLING TO WALK.

Beginning to wonder if its time for us all to contact OFFCOM and see what there take on the situation is ?
Ofcom don't deal with such issues*: a challenge to the ASA against how Glass was advertised, or one direct to Sky using the general consumer rights principles that goods and services should be as described, of adequate quality and fit for purpose might be more applicable.
*Roughly speaking, Ofcom exists to enforce legislation regarding 'broadcasting standards' in areas such as taste, decency, age suitability, impartiality (where required) etc. rather than being a more general consumer watchdog. Broadcasting a driver swearing in an interview is within their remit: failing to facilitate subscriber viewing/recording/playback of the same interview is not.

The F2 has finally appeared overnight - Sprint under one programme and Feature under another (along with the upcoming Saudi races).
Still no sign of the F1 Race!

It seems to be all there now under ' Live F1 available now. Though the first time it came up in was showing me everything from last year and I had to scroll right through all of last year, to get to this year.
Second time I went it , was just showing me Bahrain 2022
Only 16 hours late hey.

Race has gone into my planner, had trouble turning the tv on this morning looked like a possible update was taking place. I have Glass 65 inch with software version QS005.08.0P are we all on the same Version ?

Yeah that's what the version I have, but I'm sure that's what it was early last week when I rang them with Ethernet issues on the TV.

Re: How is the new F1 season going so far, any issues?
I ended up watching C4 highlights on demand at 1030pm last night ,how is it possible for C4 to have its coverage on glass but sky who provide the coverage can't it's crazy ,
if it's no better this weekend I will cancel sky sports ,I've got no interest in any other sport so £25 just for f1 that I can't access is unacceptable and to be fair the C4 extended highlights were good.

Same for me, I'm happy with Glass generally, but if the F1 isn't available as a recording within an hour if the end of broadcast, it's not fit for purpose in my eyes. I'll try again next week and cancel if this isn't so.

Re: How is the new F1 season going so far, any issues?
It's the same on both my Pucks & TV. TV is QS005.08.0P and Pucks are QS004.09.0P
16 Hours - better than Now TV's Qatar performance which was > 24hours! Alas isn't visible for me right now. Thankfully I could watch live.
So
"Live: Formula 1" has Bahrain 2nd Practice, Bahrain 1st Practice along with various F1 bits from Abu Dhabi and Saudi in 2021, and the F2 practice from Saudi 2021!
"FIA Formula 2 Championship" has Bahrain Sprint Race (from Sky Sports F1), and nothing else
"Live: FIA Formula 2 Championship" has "Bahrain: Feature Race" (from Sky Sports F1), and shows the two Saudi races as "On This week" (from Sky Sports UHD)
the second "Live: FIA Formula 2 Championship" entry has everything else from 2021, plus Bahrain Practice & Qualifying. and the F1 second Practice from Saudi 2021
If I voice search I get the main Formula 1 dashboard where I can also find Bahrain Qualy and FP3 (which say "Series Added" when I highlight it!), as well as the remaining practice sessions and Bahrain testing
Searching for "Formula 2" using voice brings up the F1 page and no Formula 2 stuff. Searching for it using text brings the three Formula 2 shows I listed above - which are in my Playlist and shows the same motley selection of episodes!
At most there should be four shows "Formula 1 2021", "Formula 1 2022", "Formula 2 2021" and "Formula 2022" with all the live coverage in each of them! Given that you could then have the "Series" turned into races - e.g. "Series 1" would be evertyhing from Bahrain and so on (ideally it would be tabbed properly with "Live Formula 1" having all the live action broken down by year and race.

Re: How is the new F1 season going so far, any issues?
Grrr, the last paragraph should have listed the four shows as
"Formula 1 2021", "Formula 1 2022", "Formula 2 2021" and "Formula 2 2022"
!

Re: How is the new F1 season going so far, any issues?
It sounds like I wasn't alone in the rubbish experience I had yesterday. I'd been looking forward to the first race all week, as this is the one where anything could happen really... and boy, was I disappointed!
I had to go out after about 9 laps or so, so decided to pause the race and come back to it later.
Whilst I was out, the wife explained that the race had "unpaused" itself and continued playing in my absence. By the time I got back, she'd managed to pause it for me, but it was at lap 47 or so.
So, doing my best to not actually tell what was going on, I tried to rewind the footage back to lap 9. I couldn't - the most I could go back was to lap 30, where at that point it just played on.
So I decided to wait for the end of the race, when I assumed it would be available for a delayed viewing. After refreshing about 30-40 times during the evening, I gave up and ended up watching the highlights on Channel 4.
IF this is a rights issue, then WHY is it a rights issue? Sky do the UK broadcast, so surely they can just show it straight afterwards... they do with all the other sessions.
Not impressed at all. £100 a month for this?

Re: How is the new F1 season going so far, any issues?
Yep i am at a loss as to what the cause is. Sky are at a loss which what the issues are and they are unwilling to help, as there is not contract involved with the tv package on Sky Glass Sky are simply sitting back with a take it or leave it attitude.
All we can do now is hope they have it sorted by this weekend race, would not hold your breath. There is a higher chance Mercedes will have there car fixed than there is Sky having this mess sorted out.

I've no idea why Sky's on demand performance has always been woeful. In previous seasons trying to watch the F1 & F2 on demand via Sky Go or Now TV sometimes showed the sessions appear promptly but other times days later. Could never find either by searching - always had to browse though the awful UI until they eventually showed.
Freeview Play works so much better - simply allows you to browse backwards though the tv guide - listing those shows which are, or will be available, and saying "Coming Soon" for up to an hour after show at most on those in the coming soon bucket. At least you know it's coming! The iPlayer behaves the same way too. Why a premium product such as Sky/Now TV takes so much longer to have the shows available, and makes them so hard to find is beyond me.

"There is a higher chance Mercedes will have there car fixed than there is Sky having this mess sorted out"
You just won the internet with that 😁
Meanwhile. I'm still fuming, just not in uppercase anymore.
Sky - you had about 4 months at least to sort this out - how is it you have failed so
spectacularly, given we're all paying anywhere north of £50 a month for this mess.
Also to add to fuel to the fire, it seems the F1 package is once again available as a standalone (without the full sports package I that I for one and a number of others here have no interest in - its only available on Q by all accounts).
