Home and Catch Up not available. SKY Q box and Sky router.
First noticed this morning when landlines phones played up. On TV we have e no Home or Catch Up available. Says 'no Internet connection. Have tried resting both box and router and power down and up. No effect. Status checks on line show all working but not. No voice light on router???

Hi @kevfife1974
Maybe worth trying a Network reset on the main Q box if you haven't already.
Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect to router (WPS if on Sky broadband is SSID and password on 2.4GHz if on 3rd party broadband)

Hi,
Tried that a few times already. Just keeps coming back to 'unsuccessful connection, please try again or you may need to connect a Sky Q booster'.
My router and box are about 4ft apart so don't think a booster is what's needed.
Should all 4ights be on the router. Voice light isn't active but can remember if it ever was.

If it's that close best to connect the Main box by Ethernet to the router

Will try find a cable but never been a problem for past 5 years until this morning.

Maybe your neighbours router has switched wifi channel to one close your own and its creating interference that wasn't there before. Who knows.
Wifi is a shortcut, and shortcuts sometimes throw up challenges. If they didn't they'd just be the way.

Unfortunately still no joy with ethernet cable. No IP addressed obtained. Tried in all 4 ports on back of router. Guess it's a call to Sky for engineers visit.

After connecting the ethernet cable, did you then go to Settings / Setup / Network / Reset, and select Wired Connection?

Hi @Rhonny. Yes I knew to select the wired option. Still no luck though. Could it possibly be a faulty network adaptor with the Sky Q box itself?
General TV working, broadband working, phone line starting working again etc but still no home or catch up option on Q box. Both boxes been reset and powered down/up multiple times. Tried WiFi and ethernet connectivity and both result in failed reconnection. Can't think what else it can be.
