There have been many comments on this board, that there have not been any real reviews of Sky Glass.
Well I have just read a very good, well balanced review in Home Cinema Choice magazine. Unfortunately I cannot copy and put on here due to copyright. But it is a good review and gives Sky Glass 4 stars (out of 5)
If you are still sitting on the fence about getting Sky Glass, then get hold of a copy of HCC and read about it yourself. You can purchase a single digital issue for £4.99, which is well worth the money if you are undecided.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Lawrence+cope HCC reviews are mainly written by John Archer who is a very respected reviewer their other writers include Steve May who is also very well known so it will be worth a read thanks for the heads up @Anonymous . What Hifi gave Glass 4 Stars as well read that review as it is very accurate going by my own experience.
If you ignore Sky''s over hyped marketing and compare Glass to other TVs in its price range its not bad. The OS is not everyone's cup of tea but as a TV it is OK.

@Chrisee this review was written by Steve May, who in my opinion always writes a good well balance review.

HCC only post their reviews online after a couple of months anyone would think they wanted to sell magazines. 😉

Lovely deadpan review, very honest. I particularly agree with his early point:
"If you're going to buy a 55incher you'll probably get a better one with more features from a company like Sony or Panasonic which have been making them since the Romans."
That's my key bugbear with Glass. I would never pay hundreds of pounds for a TV spec'd by a company with no reputation whatsoever in manufacturing them.
I love the painfully 'clunky' real time 'watch from start' experience, and let's not even mention the playlist. "Ask for it back in a year or so." Indeed.
Phil Hinton, the editor of AV Forums has a Glass unit that he's reviewing at the moment. His findings will be interesting as he's very thorough with his testing.

I'm currently hoping to do a full YouTube review.
It's something I've been considering to do for a fair amount of time for several products.
Just finding a quite time to do it.
I would personally rate it 4/5 or 8/10.
Reasons mitigating due to the confusing settings layout, poor local dimming performance and limitations like a 3.5 mm jack or audio via Bluetooth
