Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

The more you trawl the internet, the more people you see moaning about this feature not being available

It has been th story since day 1 of SkyQ.

If sky really listened to there customers it would be available by now.

I suggested that the reason the only option is to record is so it boosts its viewing figures as it is shwon as watched

I was shouted down with a degree of passion i can only atribute to touching a nerve.

I was told that it only classes as viewed, regardless of download, when it is watched , how they manage that if i watch off line on my pad i dont know.

BT service has the remind feature and I beleive that i can get most stuff now via them, Im with BT for braodband so i will explore this option

its wierd , so many people asking for it yet complete stone wall disinterest from sky

Shows you how much customers matter.

I will put up with the crappy hard to hold and use one handed remote

The fact when you look at tv guide you have to start from scratch each time

the fact voice control is soooo important and all you need to do is speak to it, thats great if you have no local accent that the stupid machine will undersatnd.

all really pointless features to be fair.. and must have taken millions to develope .

May be they aim it all at the bing watcing kids, maybe they have forgotten who pays the bill!

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I am quite disappointed that there is no 'reminder' option on the Sky Q box, I used to use it a lot and now cannot, all I can do is 'record', I don't want to record everything. ☹️

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Laura at Sky have just said this to me regarding the 'remind' facility, quote; "We have listend to the Customer & it is coming back. I haven't got a date on that as the software needs to be installed. As I aware this was only promised in the past 12 months. But it isn't easy to install, so will take some time & we wouldn't mention it. if we don't have a date for it to be rolled out."

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

That's good news if Sky are going to bring back the remind facility. Having asked technology experts about this it should not be too complicated to upgrade Sky Q to have this facility. I am setting programmes I want to watch,   on "record" and then just keeping an eye out for the red light to show on the box so that I can switch channels. Bit low tech I know but at least I get to see the programme on time.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I used reminders all the time on sky+hd so would be good to have it on sky q

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

The reminder feature is very important and I used it a lot on sky+HD. You just want to be reminded to watch a programme and not necessarily record it. I think the two features are completely different. Please bring it as this is a very popular feature and standard on most TV boxes. Thank you.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

It's a step backwards not having this. Used it a lot

Can't believe functionality has been removed on an upgraded box.

Face-palm moment for whoever thought it was a good idea.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

So much for Laura from Sky saying "We have listened to the customer and the reminder facility is coming back"! Today I spoke to a member of Sky Q who said there are no plans for this! I told this Sky Q member that here on Sky Community there are lots of unhappy customers who want the reminder facility bringing back, I also asked why no one from Sky reads the Sky Community posts, she said they do, I told her NO they don't, if they did why don't they comment?! What is the point of Sky Community if our comments are ignored...?!

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Reminder function was very useful on HD, would prefer it to be added to Sky Q.
