I've just switched to sky q and I don't understand why the reminder feature has gone. I don't want to record live football and sporting events, I want to watch them live. Now I have to manually set reminders on my phone to make sure I don't miss the live F1 races. Reminders need to be brought back. It makes no sense to get rid of this amazing function.

what a backwards step not having a reminder function. Would have definitely been a reason not to change to Sky Q had I known.
Definitely one to warn others about before they change!
Bring it back.

Setting reminders on my phone about programmes on my sky box in the year 2020 is a joke. Cmon Sky!

I'm not going to record 8 hours of live cricket - I just want a reminder to pop up when the broadcast starts. Same with any news programme: if I watch a recording it's no longer news. Just give me a reminder. Likewise, if you want me to lose my money with SkyBet, you will give me a reminder when the racing starts since there's no betting on recorded events. In short, abandoning the reminder option was plain dumb. (You also need to make it a whole lot easier and quicker to record a programme or I just won't bother. Life's too short to jump through new hoops when my old SkyHD box had pretty much everything right.)

I've already missed the first bit of two programmes and we've only had sky Q a week, this is a real problem with this system. I don't want to fill my recordings with everything I'm actually watching in real time. I've now got a choice of setting an alarm to remind me when a programme starts so I don't have to check my watch every couple of minutes while I'm watching another channel or watch whatever is on before the thing I want to watch which is ridiculous. Please bring reminder back.

I'd find it useful to have the reminder back, especially for live news and sporting events.

It doesn't make money for Sky so not important.

I don't want to record live sport - I want to be reminded when it's about to start.

Well, they will need to deliver a reminder feature quickly or my newly delivered SkyQ system is going back. I specifically asked what changes I would see and SkyHQ omitted to tell me that I would no longer have a reminder button - the loss of which is a deal breaker.
27 days left and counting.
(The whole SkyQ UI is a nightmare anyway. They spent 25 years perfecting the old system and designing the best remote control unit in the industry and they have just thrown it all out of the window. Add in the fact that the HD picture on my lovely old 1080p 42in Panasonic plasma TV is now inferior than with my old SkyHD box and my misery is complete. I think I will learn to live without Sky, having been a subscriber for 30 years.)

The reminder function was extremely useful and one that I used more regularly than the recording function. I'm very disappointed that this was removed, makes no sense, SKY! Please reinstate!

I used the remind option a lot as dont want to record everything. Please can it be brought back.

As well as the Sky Q being inferior to their old HD box, the new hub is crap as well.
I've never had so many connection problems as I do now.
Speaking to someone there is like banging your head against the wall.
I'm counting down the days until I can kick this shower into touch.
THEY DON'T GIVE A TOSS.

How about this novel ideas Sky - on your television adverts, why don't you tell the people at home that the new Sky Q box doesn't have the reminder feature that the old boxes had.
Here goes another one into the 'declined' list.
